Fit out in safe moorings in Luperón -- this is a great deal for a knowledgeable boater!

We meant to cruise TIDAK APA to Puerto Rico and up to Florida, with the intention of doing her seasonal refit here in the Dominican Republic, and refurbishing her ground tackle in Puerto Rico. I've run into doctor's orders which stopped that plan. For 55 years I have done all repairs and maintenance on my boats myself: glasswork, engines, paint, dutchmen, pumps, rigging, whatever -- even to mast building. Ain't gonna happen this time. She needs a new owner. My deteriorating health makes it clear I won't cruise with her again, and I wish to let her go while she's still in good condition.

The Dominican Republic is the largest economy in the Caribbean Basin (removing Venezuelan petroleum from the equation). It's huge industrial base means more machine shops, stainless stock, diesel parts, adhesives and coatings than you can find most anywhere south of Florida including Puerto Rico. Cruise preparation and provisioning goes better in the DR than in the U.S. -- if you know your way around.
